John Cullinan is an Associate Professor in Economics at NUI Galway and Director of the Centre for Economic Research on Inclusivity and Sustainability (www.ceris.ie). He is a member of the Socioeconomics Working Group of the European ME/CFS Research Network (EUROMENE). Orla Ní Chomhraí was diagnosed with ME/CFS in 1998. She has been on the committee of the Irish ME/CFS Association for over 15 years and is currently Secretary of the Association. The paper discussed in this piece was her first academic publication. Tom Kindlon has had ME/CFS for 32 years. He has been a committee member of the Irish ME/CFS Association for 24 years and has authored or co-authored 26 publications in the field (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Tom-Kindlon/research).
