Contributor Biography

Emmy is currently a PhD researcher within the ESPRIT (Evidence to Support Prevention, Implementation and Translation) research group at the School of Public Health, University College Cork. Her PhD research explores the methods and impact of patient and public involvement (PPI) in trials. Emmy graduated with a BA in Social Science in 2012 and an MBS in International Public Policy and Diplomacy from UCC in 2013. Her research to date has largely been in the areas of patient focused-research and PPI. In 2018, she established the first PPI panel in the School of Public Health and she currently coordinates a PPI group for the IDEAs (Improving Diabetes Eye Screening Attendance) study.
